I am mending

the tattered web of my heart, the world,

with plush emerald yards

of compassion and generosity

I darn holes torn by blame and judgement

with soft and sturdy strands

of kindness and understanding.

May I repair jagged rips

torn by despair and grief

with braided grasses of gratitude

and deep purple reeds of acceptance

of things as they are.

And where anger and fear

burned gaping holes,

may I reweave

with golden threads of forgiveness,

gleaming copper cords of courage,

and strong silver strands of trust

in the mysterious and holy unfolding

of what is greater than I can know.

To strengthen

this web of my heart, the world,

I send out these healing threads,

to anyone who needs them,

anyone at all

in this whole world.

YES Peace !

We've had great fun this month, with our new friend - a sixteen year old from Istanbul named Oyku. He is passionate about PEACE and has created a website called http://www.yespeace.com/!

Please visit his website and register as a guest. If you work with a peace organization, join his Peace Chain of groups working for a war free world!

Oyku designed and built the Yes Peace website himself - but his dream is to create a network of youth working for peace worldwide. He has some clear ideas of how to do it, but he needs the guidance of someone with more technical skills than he has. Please let us know if you can help!

WANAMBISI IS OKAY.

You may be familiar with our coverage of Wanambisi Wesakania's ECO Garden project in Kenya. Some of you have gone to visit. We have worked to get word of his welfare and have received an email back that he, his family and his team are OKAY. He says that things are crazy, and very scary, but the the word is that they are all doing well. They are very grateful for your concern and for your prayers.

OK, not everyone who is making change is female. There are lots of great men out there changing the way we think, the way we do business, the way we move forward. There are also exciting blurbs in the news everyday that we don't want you to miss - new developments in technology, new breakthroughs in policy, leaps forward that slip by if we don't catch them and post them in a blog.

A Note from Harold Becker

In just about three months we will celebrate our fifth annual Global Love Day on Thursday, May 1, 2008.  This year we have an amazing opportunity to embrace love, unity, tolerance and diversity on a planetary scale as we gather together and unite as a collective humanity through unconditional love.

Since we launched this unique day four years ago, we have connected with individuals and organizations from over 103 countries and presently have 33 wonderful volunteer country, regional and field coordinators sharing the vision in their nations and beyond.  Our flyers are available (and printable from our web site) in 26 languages along with a record 131 proclamations from governors, mayors, city councils and other prominent officials with many more expected to be issued this year.

New this year is our online forum.  Come and join the discussion on unconditional love, Global Love Day, or several other program topics and share your experience of love.

Also new this year is the video Unconditional Love... A Guide to Personal Freedom now available on Google Video. Originally produced as a national PBS television special in 1997, Harold hosts this hour long powerful presentation that shares the inspiration and insight on how to embrace and become aware of unconditional love throughout one's life.  Watch it online for free or purchase the DVD and support TLF too.

Be a part of it - spread the word.  Email, call or write to your friends, family, community, corporations, governments and media to announce this event.  Please consider contacting your mayor, governor, or elected officials and encourage them to create a proclamation (see sample) embracing Global Love Day. Please take a moment to see the Global Love Day pages www.globalloveday.com for our vision of the day or visit our home page on our main site www.thelovefoundation.com where you can find all the links listed above.

Let us know how you intend to share the love on this symbolic day and thank you for your courage to be YOU!

Love, light and peace,

The Board - Harold, John, Tam, Lanis, and Erik
